Workplace Investigations

Contact us when you need a quick and independent investigation. We can help you plan an investigation that is sensitive to any confidentiality concerns, and involve minimal disruption to your people and your business.

Workplace Investigations

If complaints of wrongdoing or misconduct have been raised by someone within your organisation, you may have an obligation to investigate. The purpose of the investigation is to establish the facts around the complaint and determine if wrongdoing has occurred. It is recommended to engage an independent third party to carry out an investigation, so that any claims of bias can be avoided.

We are experienced investigators of all types of workplace issues. We understand the strict rules around confidentiality and anonymity – particularly in situations where the allegations have arisen out of a whistleblowing report. As a law firm, we are also able to conduct an investigation under legal privilege, which may protect the report and any related materials from disclosure to third parties.

What issues do we investigate?

  • Bullying and harassment
  • Sexual harassment
  • Discrimination
  • Misconduct
  • Fraud and corruption
  • Breach of policy

Your investigation will be handled promptly and professionally, by a qualified solicitor.

Where a whistleblowing disclosure is involved, we will take all reasonable steps to avoid identifying the whistleblower and will observe strict confidentiality protocols.

What kind of investigation?

A traditional investigation will involve the investigator conducting face to face interviews with the complainant, all of the witnesses, and the respondent. We also offer “workplace surveys”, which can be an effective tool for investigating complaints about workplace culture, or where the complainant is anonymous. Our investigators aim to ensure that interviewees are comfortable and relaxed. We can provide both face to face or remote investigations through Zoom, Teams or telephone. Contact us to inquire about an investigation that works for you and your organisation.

We will provide you with a fixed fee quote at the outset, upon confirming the scope of the investigation.
